Wearing glasses & headaches
The human body is a closely designed system of parts, all of which work together intricately and in perfect synchronisation with each other. The result of this perfect coordination is our daily routine functioning. All our organs are part of a network of nerves and signals passing to and fro. Any hitch in even one tiny bit can disrupt the entire functioning and lead to symptoms that the person experiences. It is these symptoms that are the first indication that something is wrong in the body.
One common symptom which is an indicator for several conditions is the heada
che. Too often do all of us experience a dull ache in the head. Most headaches aren't serious. Some of the common types of headaches are migraine headache and tension headaches. Generally headaches are treated with some simple medication. Other methods such as regulating diet and avoiding loud noises and flashing lights can also help control headaches.
Headaches are a symptom for several conditions. It is believed that among others, headaches are an indication of difficulties with vision. Those who get glasses, often do so based on continuous headaches. Difficulties with vision might cause headaches because the eyes are being strained more and so is the optic nerve. This causes the area around the eye i.e. the head to hurt.
However for many people wearing glasses, headaches don't cease to exist. Their head still aches. This is common with those beginning to wear glasses for the first time. The eyes have to adjust to a new way of seeing things and doing so strains them. This causes the headaches. However as this is just a period of adjustment it resolves itself pretty quickly.
If when wearing glasses, headaches still continue it could be for several reasons. The primary reason would be that the glasses are made out to the wrong prescription and because this adds an additional burden on the eyes, headaches continue. Sometimes, a person has been wearing glasses for a long time without realising that the number in their eyes has gone up. Thus continuing to wear the wrong prescription leads to headaches.
A lot of people today wear contact lenses and on wearing glasses, headaches happen. This can be due to two reasons. It is possible that the prescription of the contact lenses and the glasses differs and thus the headaches. Secondly, contacts are on the eye and so the eye doesn't have to make any extra efforts to see. When wearing glasses however, the eye has to adjust to the distance till the glass lens. This probably gives rise to the headaches.
Thus for those wearing glasses, headaches may occur, but this is primarily temporary due to conditions that can easily be controlled and managed.
